Ever since I was very small, I have adored animals of all shapes and sizes  and through the years I've had guinea pigs, cats, dogs, fish, birds, mice, hamsters, and a horse.  My children want to get chickens and sheep, but I'm not sure how to manage that in the city!  I grew up fascinated by my great aunt's collection of portraits that she had done of all her stallions and mares.  In order to capture the personalities in my drawings, I use Prismacolor Pencils on toned paper which allows me to get a full range of color from light to dark.
